About

Keep It Beachy Clean is an educational litter-prevention program that targets beach visitors using positive messaging which inspires them to keep our beaches and waterways “Beachy Clean”. The goal of Keep It Beachy Clean is to prevent trash from littering our beaches, oceans and waterways and to keep our waterways clean and safe. Keep It Beachy Clean began in Virginia Beach in partnership with Clean Virginia Waterways of Longwood University, Virginia Beach G.R.E.E.N. (Green Resort Eco-Friendly, Efficient Neighbors) Committee to the Virginia Beach Resort Advisory Commission, Virginia Beach Convention and Visitor’s Bureau and the Virginia Beach Hotel Association. In 2017, Clean Virginia Waterways received a sponsorship to expand Keep It Beachy Clean throughout Virginia Beach and Hampton Roads with future plans to expand into additional beach resort communities outside of Virginia. Keep It Beachy Clean is a program of Clean Virginia Waterways of Longwood University. The G.R.E.E.N. Committee serves as the Keep It Beachy Clean Advisory Board.
